Osborne and McLaughlin agree new deals

Goalkeeper Jon McLaughlin who’s current deal expires next month has today signed a new contract to keep him at Valley Parade for the next three seasons. I’ve noticed a lot of websites today saying he’s only 19-years-old (strangely this includes the official site) but I’m reliably informed he’s actually 22. McLaughlin told BBC Radio Leeds: “It’s great to sign a three-year deal and get that security finally. Over the last few season I’ve only been signing one-year contracts, so it’s nice to know I’m staying here longer now and I can build on that.”

Winger Leon Osborne has obviously impressed Peter Taylor with his efforts last season. As the 20-year-old has agreed to sign a new two contract with the club. I for one would like to see him get a goal or two next season but he may end up spending most of his time sat on the bench, but only time will tell.
